BLUE ANDALUSIAN

Blue Andalusians are one of the oldest Mediterranean breeds and were named after the Providence of Andalusia in Spain. They were developed from black Spanish stock and later both Minorcas and Black Spanish were used for further breed development. Blue Andalusian chicks come in three colors: black, blue and white with blue cast. They have bluish slate wing tips, clean, slaty blue legs and feet, and single combs. Adult plumage is primarily bluish slate laced with black. Adult males have a black head while the female's head is bluish slate. (Ideal Poultry)
