CREAM BRABANTER

Brabanters are a Dutch breed of crested chicken that originated in the region of Brabant between Belgium and the Netherlands. The breed is very old, with an image of a Brabanter appearing in a 17th century painting. Cream Brabanter chicks are light brown to dark brown with crest, muffs and beard. The clean legs are gray, and if present, the comb is V-shaped. Brabanter adults have a flat sided upright crest that isn't as large or globular as Polish crests. The plumage is cream, with each feather ending with a half-moon black spangle. The tail may be entirely black. (Ideal Poultry)
