DOMINIQUE

Dominiques are an American breed, but very little is known about their origination. A few theories have suggested a cross between Rose Comb White Dorking and Black Java; White Javas and Black Javas; or a mixture of Asiatic and Hamburg breeds. Dominique chicks are mostly black with a white spot on the top of the head and white on the wing tips and abdomen. They have rose combs and clean, yellow legs and feet. The adult plumage is black and white barred, with the females being slightly darker than the males. (Ideal Poultry)
